Megan Lynch

Megan joins Beacon Academy with over 17 years experience in education. She began her career teaching English in Alternative High School settings inspiring her to pursue a career in school counseling. Megan holds a bachelor's degree in Secondary English Education from the University of Illinois at Chicago and a master's degree in School Counseling from Concordia University Chicago. She is also a certified Licensed Professional Counselor. Megan feels a humanistic and holistic approach is essential to guiding students towards positive growth and change. She believes every student is unique and has the ability to reach their fullest potential. It is her goal to provide students with the necessary skills, tools and opportunities in order to thrive academically, socially and emotionally. In her free time, Megan enjoys spending time with her family, especially her son. She enjoys going to concerts, singing, watching horror movies and snuggling with her two cats.
