Jake Rosenbluth
Jake Rosenbluth joined the Beacon Academy community in the 2019-2020 school year. He has been fortunate enough to learn and hone a variety of skills over the years. He’s been a furniture maker’s apprentice, collaborator with fellow Chicago artists and a high-end carpenter in residential construction. Jake also had a brief minor league baseball career, and holds a lifetime batting average of .263 for the Albuquerque Isotopes. These experiences, combined with teaching at the Francis W. Parker School and overseeing the University of Chicago Laboratory School Extended Day Program, have fueled in him the confidence to strive for higher goals both creatively and professionally. He looks forward to helping students find their voices, and the confidence to express them. Jake has a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Kenyon College and a dog named Roy.
