Georgette Kelly

French Instructor and After-School Drama Teacher



Ms. Kelly holds a bachelor’s degree in Performance Studies from Northwestern University and an MFA in Playwriting from Hunter College. She is joining Beacon from the Chapin School in NYC, where she currently teaches drama. Prior to her role at Chapin, Ms. Kelly served as the Lab Theatre Coordinator at Northwestern University’s Theatre and Interpretation Center, where she mentored undergraduate theatre students. Ms. Kelly is passionate about immersion-based language education. She has lived in Morocco, where she studied Arabic and storytelling, as well as in France, where she taught English to middle school students through the French Ministry of Education. From 2004 until 2013, she taught drama and French to students age 7-18 at Concordia Language Villages in Bemidji, Minnesota.
