Clarese Dixon grew up in Rogers Park on Chicago’s north side. She studied performing arts and classical music while attending Lane Tech High School and developed a love for working with young people. After graduation, Clarese completed two AmeriCorps service programs focused on youth literacy, civic engagement, social justice, and youth empowerment. She then earned a B.A. focused on Youth Development from DePaul University. Clarese has been a mentor, educator and trainer for students, families and fellow educators since 2000. Clarese and her family currently reside on Chicago’s South Side where her hobbies include: reading, traveling and a judging cheerleading competitions.
