How To Apply

Beacon Academy Chicago

Beacon Academy will be accepting applications for 2018-2019 between September 1st and December 15th, 2017. See below to get started today! Please contact Admissions if you have questions.

 

Application Process

 

Interested families should begin by filling out an online Inquiry Form to start receiving Beacon news and admissions information electronically.

 

To begin the application process, families are asked to complete and an Application for Admission online and submit it along with the application fee payment of  $100. Once the application is received, the Admissions Office will contact you to schedule your student and parent interviews and the optional Student Visit Day. Please contact Admissions if you would prefer to receive paper application materials.

 

In addition to the application form, families submit completed teacher and administrator recommendation forms and sign a Release of Information Authorization form to be given to the student’s current school. All materials should be returned to Beacon along with the student’s records from the last two academic years and most recent standardized test scores (if available). Further details about the application components will be provided upon establishing and signing in to your online account.

Tuition Assistance

 

If you are planning to apply for tuition assistance, you will be required to complete an online application through FACTS, our need analysis provider. Please visit our tuition assistance page to begin the FACTS process. Tuition Assistance applications for 2018-2019 are due by Thursday, February 1, 2018.

Please make sure to complete and submit all required application components in a timely manner to ensure an efficient turnaround. Late applications will be considered on a rolling basis after the initial application cycle has ended, and decisions on these will be made according to space available. Late applying students may be placed in a wait pool.

To maintain the highest level of integrity in the admission process, applicants to the school and their families and friends are advised of the following: For purposes of this policy, a “gift” refers to any monetary, tangible, or in-kind gift, whether tendered, promised, or implied; No gift will be accepted from any affiliated or non-affiliated person, family, foundation, or other donor if it is given with the intention of influencing the evaluation or outcome of an admission matter in reference to any applicant; While an application is pending, neither the school nor anyone in the school will accept gifts from any non-affiliated applicant family member or anyone on the family’s behalf.
